Man injured in Appleton two-vehicle crash

On December 5 at around 7:45 a.m., an 85-year-old man driving north on N. Conkey Street in Appleton was hit by a van that was westbound on E. Northland Avenue. The man, a resident of Appleton, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, according to a report by the authorities of Appleton Police Department.

Sergeant Dave Lund stated that the driver of the van, a 37-year-old woman from Kimberly, did not sustain any injuries. The road was shut down for a few hours following the car crash and reopened at around 10:20 that morning.

There are no reports yet regarding the factors that contributed to the crash. Among the responders on the scene were the crash investigation team of the Appleton PD, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Appleton Fire Department.
