Around 7:20 in the morning of December 5 in the Winnebago County town of Utica, a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Sonia Luker of Ripon collided with 37-year-old Appleton resident Stacey Spang’s vehicle on State Highway 44. The highway was closed for four hours following the crash, Wisconsin State Patrol said.
According to a report by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, Luker’s vehicle went sideways on a slippery stretch of concrete and straight into the oncoming traffic, eventually crashing with Spang’s car.
Luker was transported to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, and she was reported to be in fair condition as of December 7. Her 30-year-old passenger, Jamie Patrick of Milwaukee, was brought to Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh after being thrown to the backseat and sustaining injuries.
Spang was also taken to Mercy Medical Center, and along with Luker’s passenger, her condition was unknown as of December 7.
