According to a report by WSAW-TV, two men were injured after a head-on collision on Highway 10 just east of County Road J in the town of Stockton near Stevens Point.

Reports by the Portage County Sheriff’s Office showed that Joseph Krizek, a 20-year-old man from Reedsville, was driving on the highway when he went over the center line and hit a semi-truck head-on. The authorities said that Krizek was trapped inside his car, which was on fire. A Waupaca County Deputy extinguished the fire.

The semi-truck driver, Joe Hannah, a 56-year-old man from Fond du Lac, sustained injuries and was been treated and released from the hospital. Krizek, on the other hand, was transferred to a hospital in Marshfield after sustaining injuries to his head.

High rate of speed and slippery roads were considered factors in the accident.
