On December 15, officers from the Racine County Sheriff’s Office were called to a crash on Highway 75 in Dover, between Church Road and Highway 11, at around 5:00 a.m. Two men, a 20-year-old man from Salem and a 22-year-old man from Kansasville, were pronounced dead at the accident scene after they were ejected from their vehicle.

According to the investigators, their car drove off the roadway, hit a culvert, and became airborne. The vehicle struck a tree and a power pole. Deputies stated that a high rate of speed may have caused the crash.

The highway was shut down for a few hours following the crash, and it was reopened at around 9:40 a.m.
