On December 21, a 25-year-old man from Sheboygan was involved in a single-vehicle accident in Sheboygan’s downtown area that led to a disturbance and the destruction of city property. According to WHBL, a Dodge Durango was believed to have flipped over at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and South Water Street when the police found the vehicle abandoned with every window broken out. The driver of the vehicle apparently fled the scene.

According to the Sheboygan Police Department, they found the owner of the vehicle half an hour later hiding in a bush near the Sheboygan River. The scene was attended to by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, and the 25-year-old man was brought to the Sheboygan Aurora Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The man is now facing six possible felonies and misdemeanors, and several citations that include Operating while Intoxicated and hit-and-run damage to city signs, according to Lieutenant Doug Teunissen.
