A female driver was recently arrested by Milwaukee authorities after she was observed to be driving the wrong way on a highway. According to reports, the woman, who was only identified as a 31-year-old, was apprehended after authorities noticed her driving her vehicle south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 45.

When the driver was apprehended at Mayfair Road, she refused to submit to a blood test. However, the woman did confess to officers that she had consumed one and a half drinks before driving that evening. The woman may serve up to ten years in prison if she is convicted of the charges she is currently facing. The offenses filed against her include wrong-way driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, second-degree reckless endangering safety, and driving a vehicle with a suspended license.
