Man killed in two-vehicle Highway 151 crash

WKOW 27 reported that a crash between a semi tractor trailer truck and a farm tractor in the south lanes of County Highway K on January 5 killed a 69-year-old man from Columbus. Based on the report, the accident occurred at around 9:15 a.m near Highway 73 when a farm tractor collided with a milk tanker.

According to Columbus Police, the driver of the farm tractor was instantly killed in the collision, while the driver of the semi truck, a 45-year-old man from Iowa, did not sustain any injuries.

The southbound lanes of Highway 151 were shut down following the crash, which is still under the investigation by authorities from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol. The Columbus Fire Department, Lifestar EMS, and the Columbia County Highway Department were among those who responded to the crash.
