Infant bodysuits recalled over choking risk

Posted on January 30, 2016 9:01 pm under Defective Child Care Products

On January 19, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released a recall notice on Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ Darth Vader and Disneyland 60th infant bodysuits. Apparently, the snaps on the bodysuits are prone to detaching, which could result in a choking hazard for infants. Thankfully, there are no current reports of injuries associated with the product.

About 10,000 units of the product were involved in the recall. The bodysuit is made of 100% cotton and has a three snap button closure, according to the notice. The garment description for both designs is:

  • Darth Vader – sizes 3M, 6M, 12M, 18M, 24M; gray body with black sleeves and trim
  • Disneyland 60th – sizes 6M, 12M, 18M, 24M; light blue body with royal blue sleeves and trim

Consumers are encouraged to call the company and return the recalled bodysuits for a full refund.
