According to a notice released by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on February 3, Lutron Electronics Co. Inc. has issued a recall of its custom-ordered made-to-measure Serena® and SIVOIA QS TRIATHLON® roller shades because of the shades’ tendency to dislodge from the brackets and fall. This defect may cause injuries and impact hazards to the consumers. No injuries have been reported yet, although there have been 36 incidents of the shades falling from the mounting brackets so far.

An estimate of 30,000 units have been included in the recalled in the United States, and the complete list of information is provided on the CPSC website.

Lutron Electronics has already advised consumers to inspect their roller shades and contact the company to arrange free repairs to be conducted by the company to prevent further disasters.
