At least two women suffered injuries in the Town of Grand View, Wisconsin, after their vehicles were involved in a car accident on March 7, according to an article from the Ashland Daily Press.

Officials from the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department stated that at about 7:00 a.m., a two-vehicle accident happened on U.S. Highway 63, not far from Dybedal Road. Driver Catherine Carlson lost control of her vehicle while heading south and struck a vehicle that was traveling in the opposite lane.

According to reports, Carlson lost control of her vehicle due to the presence of water and slush on the road. Authorities identified the driver of the other vehicle as Jeanne Ekholm. Responding crews from Grand View Fire removed Carlson and Ekholm from their vehicles and they were immediately taken to the hospital. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office in investigating the accident scene.
