Three teenagers stole a car, causing a high speed chase that lead to a collision. A 21-year-old woman claims that the young teens approached her and threatened her with a weapon, but is unclear if an actual weapon was present. Her car keys and vehicle were then stolen by the teens.
Just 20 minutes later, Milwaukee police spotted the woman’s Honda Civic and attempted to pull the car over. The driver sped away, but lost control and crashed into a tree. The teen thieves were then arrested, though charges have not yet been issued. Of the three arrested, only one was old enough to legally hold a driver’s license.
Luckily no one was seriously injured in this car accident, but the problem of carjacking has recently increased in the area, and the resulting police pursuits can lead to unfortunate accidents.
