Bumble Bee Foods recently issued a voluntary recall of more than 30,000 cases of Bumble Bee Tuna products over concerns that they may be contaminated. According to a statement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a problem that occurred during the processing of these items could result in the items becoming contaminated. Such contamination could pose a serious health risk to consumers.

The specific items that were recalled were all from the company’s “Chunk Light” line of canned tuna products and were all sold during the month of February. Specifically, affected cans include individuals cans and 4-packs of 5-ounce “Chunk Light Tuna in Water” and individual cans of 5-ounce “Chunk Light in Oil.” The FDA has provided a full list of affected products here.
