Meijer brand dinner rolls recalled

Posted on April 5, 2016 9:30 am under Product Liability

Certain Meijer brand dinner rolls have been recalled after being delivered to grocers in several states, including Wisconsin. The recall is due to ingredients that could possibly cause an allergic reaction in customers. Specifically, those with peanut allergies should be especially conscious of this particular recall, as an allergic reaction could be deadly.

The specific product being recalled is the “Meijer Knot Roll,” which was sold in stores from March 6 to March 28th. Though no known reactions have occurred, the item was recalled due to the possibility of cross contamination during the packaging process. The contamination is thought to have occurred during a mechanical breakdown during production. The rolls can be returned for a full refund.

Food recalls are very serious, especially for those with known food allergies.
