More than 50,000 car seats recalled

The Evenflo Company Inc. is set to recall over 56,000 car seats. The specific car seat being recalled is the Transition 3-in-1 Combination Booster Seat.

The company announced to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that the reason for the recall is that it could be possible for a child to loosen the strap that keeps them securely in the car seat. In the event of an accident, it is crucial to a child’s safety that the harness holding them in their car seat is properly tightened. If a child were to loosen the strap before a wreck, the chance of injury would be significantly increased.

Following proper car seat guidelines is an important part of keeping your child safe, and can reduce the risk of injury or death in the event of an accident. Unfortunately, all of your efforts could be wasted if the seat your child is sitting in is inherently defective. If your child has been injured due to a defective car seat or other childcare product, our experienced team at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® can help you pursue aggressive legal action against the company responsible for your child’s unnecessary injury and suffering.
