A company in Framingham, Massachusetts issued a recall of about 2,000 units of office chairs with a faulty base that could cause injuries to users if the chairs accidentally tip over, a report from cpsc.gov stated on April 14.
According to reports, the “Back in Motion” office chairs from Staples and Quill may possibly tip over if a person rests his or her back against the chair’s backseat. The affected leather padded chairs can be checked by the item numbers printed at the bottom of the seat cushion.
Distributor Staples the Office Superstore LLC has not received any complaints of injuries or accidents involving the recalled office chairs thus far. Consumers who own the affected chairs are advised to contact Staples for a free base replacement.
