Milwaukee authorities recently arrested an off-duty fireman whom they believe is responsible for the three-vehicle crash in West Allis that killed two persons and injured two others, an article of NBC Chicago reported on April 8.
Reports stated police believe the fireman, only identified as a 31-year-old Milwaukee resident, was intoxicated and driving with excessive speed when he crashed his pickup into another vehicle near the 700 block of South 60th Street on April 4. A third vehicle became involved in the collision after the two vehicles veered into the opposite lane.
Authorities later identified the deceased as Ken Johnson, 38, and Yoruba Sly-Lunasi, 64. An unidentified vehicle driver and a passenger in the pickup were treated due for injuries they sustained in the accident. The Milwaukee Fire Department confirmed the arrest of their employee and an internal investigation is being prepared.
