More than 16,000 Vehicles Recalled Due to Brake Concerns

Posted on April 25, 2016 9:43 am under Car Accidents

Toyota has recalled over 16,000 vehicles due to an issue with the cars’ brakes. The brake actuators, produced by Advics North America, are problematic in that the fluid pressure is not constant, which means there could be a delayed reaction between braking and coming to a stop, which could cause an accident. The cars recalled by Toyota include:

  • Toyota Rav 4s manufactured between October 30th, 2015 and February 3rd, 2016
  • Lexus ES350s manufactured between September 1st, 2015 and February 29th, 2016
  • Lexus RX350s manufactured between October 26th, 2015 and February 8th, 2016

Toyota plans to have all recalls issued to the owners of these vehicles by June. If your car has been recalled, you can take it to your local Toyota or Lexus dealer to have the issue resolved. The part will be inspected and replaced if faulty.

Vehicle recalls should not be taken lightly, as they can result in serious accidents. If you have been in an accident caused by a faulty car part, you could be eligible for compensation for the pain and suffering you have been forced to endure.
