A West Bend lawyer who was previously charged and convicted of drunk driving was recently accused of the same offense for the fifth time.
According to police reports, West Bend authorities arrested Sallie Rubenzer on May 5 on South 18th Avenue. Authorities told Rubenzer that a concerned caller told them they saw her exiting an establishment with a bottle of liquor in hand. Authorities indicated that Rubenzer was slurring her words and that she smelled of alcohol. Rubenzer was later taken into custody for her 5th or 6th OWI offense after refusing to take a field sobriety test. Rubenzer has previously shown up to court while under the influence of alcohol as well.
