Approximately 4,000 baby carriers that were sold in the U.S. and Canada are being recalled due to a defective buckle that puts the child at a risk of falling.
The recall concerns the “Twin Go Original Carrier,” an infant carrier designed to carry one or two babies at a time. The baby carrier attaches to the guardian’s body and has a faulty buckle on the waist portion that may break easily. Though the recalling company, TwinGo LLC, has not been notified of any injuries, they are aware of 13 complaints of malfunctioning buckles, 10 of which happened in the U.S. The company is expected to replace all of the waist buckles on the affected baby carriers for free. Parents are advised to refrain from using the baby carrier until it is repaired.
