Costco food products recalled due to possible Listeria contamination

Posted on May 17, 2016 4:07 pm under Defective Food Product

The American company Costco Wholesale Corporation recently recalled several food products that can cause illnesses due to a possible Listeria contamination.

The affected food products were manufactured by Ajinomoto Windsor and contain ‘best before’ dates ranging from May 1, 2016 until May 7, 2017. Reports said three food products with chicken ingredients may possibly contain the bacteria, which can seriously harm young children and elderly adults. Though the affected products were also sold at Costco stores in Canada, there have been no reported incidents of illness. The recall is reportedly part of a larger recall involving other Ajinomoto Windsor frozen food products that may be contaminated with Listeria.
