At least two persons sustained injuries in a recent two-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck in Waupaca. Information coming from Waupaca Police revealed that a stalled county highway vehicle with a person inside was struck by a semi, and the accident caused the closure of a portion of Highway 10.
The parked vehicle reportedly was in the right lane, had its emergency lights activated, and was using a traffic warning sign to redirect traffic when the collision took place. The semi driver and the person inside the county vehicle, whose names were withheld, were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities from the Wisconsin State Patrol are assisting local police in their investigation.
