An individual lost her life due to a single-vehicle rollover accident on I-43 near Mequon Road in Ozaukee County last Monday, May 23. The authorities identified the victim as Milwaukee resident Neisy Tejeda Jimenez De Galva.
Police reports stated that a 2004 Chevrolet trailblazer blew out a tire, which caused its driver to lose control of the vehicle and eventually crash into the median. Lieutenant Wayne Lambrecht of the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office said De Galva, who was seated in the rear of the vehicle, was thrown from the vehicle because of the crash and succumbed to the injuries she incurred during the incident. Traffic was closed along I-43 near Mequon Road to make way for cleanup crews and investigating police officers after the accident. The drivers of the vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
