17-year-old dies in Polk County two-vehicle collision

A two-vehicle collision, which occurred on Friday, May 27 at around 9:18 a.m. along Highway 46 NB caused the death of one individual.

The victim was identified as 17-year-old Amery resident Marissa Hope Greenebaum, who died later that night from the injuries she sustained during the accident. According to reports, Greenebaum was struck from behind by a cement truck while operating her 2002 Jeep Wrangler. The driver of the 2000 Mack cement pumping truck was Kenneth Maynard Riebe and the truck is owned by New Richmond-based R and S Concrete Pumping Service. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not considered a factor in the accident. The case is still under investigation by the authorities.
