An Appleton driver was recently arrested near Oshkosh for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI), an article of NBC 26 reported on May 30.
Authorities reportedly observed the driver on Highway N, near Interstate 41, not wearing his seat belt, and pulled him over for an equipment violation. The driver, who was only identified as a 44-year-old man, was given a field sobriety test after a trooper noticed possible intoxication symptoms. Authorities also discovered that the driver had a minor passenger inside the vehicle and five previous OWI violations. Charges are expected to be filed against the man while authorities await investigation results.
