At least three people recently sustained injuries while riding a roller coaster in Green Bay, a June 20 article of wbay.com reported.
According to reports, the well-known “Zippin Pippin” coaster was officially closed for investigation after three people, two Bay Beach Amusement Park staffers and one rider, suffered injuries due to the ride. Director of Parks, Rec, and Forestry Dawne Cramer said a coaster car did not stop as intended and struck a parked car in front of it. Authorities stated the roller coaster involved was recently inspected. Even so, the ride is again closed for inspection and is marked as a restricted area within the park.
