A woman and her two children suffered serious injuries after the vehicle they were occupying was struck head-on by a driver suspected of being under the influence of intoxicants (OWI), an article of Journal Sentinel reported on June 19.
Around 4:30 a.m., a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Chaze Biami struck the vehicle the mother was driving on I-43. The collision reportedly took place after Biami’s vehicle went to the other side of the road into oncoming traffic. The mother sustained life-threatening injuries. The identities of the three victims were withheld. Milwaukee authorities apprehended Biami after learning that he had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.14 percent after the incident. Charges were later filed against Biami, who was also injured in the crash.
