On Wednesday, June 22, at 5:00 p.m., a vehicle crashed into a storage garage at Kenosha Yacht Club, said officials from the Kenosha Fire Department.
The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man, was headed westbound on 51st Place when he crashed into the garage after failing to successfully complete a turn. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle was later removed from the garage. Fortunately, no one was inside the garage when this happened. Police are confident that speed was a factor in this crash but no estimate of damage has been released yet. The driver was issued citations for not having insurance and for speeding.
