Fond du Lac Fire Department officials have reported that three vehicles were involved in an accident that left two people dead at the scene of the crash. The accident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, June 22 around 11:45 a.m. on I-41 near Johnson.

Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol said one vehicle was sandwiched between a semi-tractor trailer and another vehicle after the crash, which allegedly occurred when the semi was slowing down. Two patients were taken to a hospital by ambulance, while the remaining two victims were unable to be resuscitated at the scene. I-41 NB was closed as Wisconsin State Patrol and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s assisted with traffic control.
