After Friday night, July 8, a bartender for the Scores Sports Bar & Grill in the village of Somers is left recovering from minor injuries inflicted by a drunk 57-year-old Stephen Hanlon of Pleasant Prairie when he hit her with his jeep in the parking lot.
Hanlon left the bar nearly unable to walk and made vulgar comments at the staff. He refused water that was offered to him by the bartender, hitting it out of her hand, and got into his red jeep though employees tried to find another ride for him. The bartender approached Hanlon in his car and demanded he get out. She turned around briefly to try to get help from the other employees when she was struck on the thigh, knocking her back three to four feet.
Hanlon fled the scene and when police arrived at his home, he admitted to drinking heavily before driving home but denied hitting the bartender with his car. He was arrested and charged with a hit-and-run, first offense OWI, and disorderly conduct.
