At 8:23 AM on Friday, July 8, an off-duty paramedic and nurse attempted to resuscitate a motorcycle driver, victim to a severe accident between himself and a tractor-trailer. The Cudahy man, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.
Dispatch at the Racine County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they had received several calls to report the accident on STH 83 at Pine Street. Further information indicated that witnesses, including the nurse and paramedic, were performing CPR on the motorcycle driver.
The investigation revealed that the operator of the tractor-trailer had been driving westbound and had begun to turn South onto Pine St. when they hit the motorcycle, which had been traveling eastbound. The traffic signals were working at the time of the crash and it seems that the truck driver failed to observe the right-of-way of the motorcycle driver.
