Milwaukee police are investigating an attack on a 14-year-old girl from a pit bull around 7:30 pm on July 13. The attack occurred near 88th and Stark, where police say a group of children was playing. The door to a house was opened and two pit bulls came out of the home; one subsequently attacked the young girl but the owner was able to get the animal before any serious injuries were inflicted.
The victim was moved to the hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department to be treated for multiple bites. Both animals were taken by the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission and are remaining under quarantine as the investigation goes on.
