Hundreds of units of Bernhardt furniture are recalled after reports of structural issues

Bernhardt, a home furniture manufacturer, has issued a recall of nearly 2,000 of their dressers and nightstands due to a structural issue that makes them susceptible to falling over. This poses a risk to children, who could be trapped and injured by the furniture.

Recall date: July 12, 2016
Name of product: 1,700 units Marquesa dressers and nightstands
Hazard: The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not properly anchored to the wall.
Description: Marquesa mirrored glass front dressers, model number 359-044 and Marquesa mirrored glass front nightstands, model number 359-234.
Incidents/Injuries:  two reports of the furniture tipping over when the drawers were opened, including one injury to an adult involving an arm bruise and neck stiffness.
