In the late morning on July 25, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was called to a crash on I-41 in Lomira.
Brian Dunlap, a 48-year-old from Newark who was driving a 2006 Chevrolet pickup with his wife and four children and towing a camping trailer, was driving north according to authorities. James Swanson, a 35-year-old from Durand, was also traveling north in a semi truck when he hit the back of the camper, causing the Chevrolet and its trailer to overturn. The highway remained closed for four hours following the incident.
One of Dunlap’s four children was flown via Flight For Life to a Milwaukee hospital while his wife and three other children were driven to a Fond Du Lac hospital. Both drivers were not injured in the accident.
