A fire in the town of Medina resulted in the complete destruction of a barn and all of its contents, but the 80 cows that lived there were all saved.
The fire started just before 10 p.m. on Monday, July 25 off Oak Park Road. The list of responders included Dane County deputies and Marshall, Deerfield, Waterloo, Cottage Grove, DeForest, Columbus, Maple Bluff, Burke, Bristol, and Sun Prairie firefighters.
No one was injured in the fire and investigators believe the fire was not started maliciously or suspiciously. Firefighters have stated that they think the fire was caused by electrical issues.
