Dane County police take part in Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Drunk Driving Accident

Law enforcement in Dane County is building up their efforts to prevent accidents and deaths caused by drunk driving by participating in an 18-day nationwide campaign called Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates than one death occurs every 53 minutes due to people charged with OWI. Statements from the Dane County Sheriff’s deputies reveal their frustration with the number of accidents. The campaign will result in increased checkpoints, patrols, and messages sent across the nation about the deadly and preventable activity. The campaign, which began on August 19, will run through September 5 and special emphasis will be placed on weekend driving from six in the evening to four in the morning.

Planning ahead and not driving after parties, nights at the bar, or even dinner out is easily accomplished and we fully believe at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® that drunk driving accidents are always preventable.
