Recall: Aura Cacia Milk & Oat Bath Products

Product Liability

As of September 1, 2016, Frontier Co-op, which offers natural and organic products under the Frontier, Simply Organic® and Aura Cacia® brands and is based in Norway, Iowa, recalled Aura Cacia Milk & Oat Bath products due to a high number of microorganisms.

FDA testing revealed the high count and though cosmetic products don’t have to be entirely sterile, the high microorganism count increases the risk of health complications.

The product was available nationwide and some parts of Canada through the internet and would’ve been delivered to distributors, retailers, and directly to consumers. The affected lot numbers to look for are 5289, 5296, and 5281 which can be found imprinted on the seam of the 1.75 oz and 49.6g packets. One of the same lot numbers would’ve been printed on the back of the label of the 9.75 oz jar or on a sticker on the bottom.

Any questions can be directed to the Frontier Co-op.
