Two girls seriously hurt in Brown Deer dog attack

Two dogs that viciously attacked two 14-years-old girls Tuesday, October 4, were shot by Brown Deer Police.

A video showed police arriving on the scene but, at the request of the girls’ parents, the attack was not revealed for public viewing. It showed the dogs biting and scratching the young girls and, according to police, was horrific.

One of the officers discharged his weapon six times when he approached the scene and one of the dogs rushed him. He killed one of the animals and injured the other, which was later euthanized.

According to the girls, the attack began in the home of one of them and continued outside when she ran away. The second girl, who was visiting, was attacked by the second dog when the first girl ran outside.

Brown Deer Police Chief Kass said he’s “never seen an incident this horrific,” as both girls sustained serious but, thankfully, non-life threatening injuries.
