2 drivers hurt in Columbia County accident

Personal Injury

Two drivers in Columbia County were recently hospitalized due to the personal injuries they sustained in a vehicle accident caused by a reckless driver, a report of Channel 3000 stated on October 19.

At about 6:30 p.m. on October 18, three vehicles, including a farm tractor, collided in the northbound lane of Highway 22 in the southern portion of Patchin Road. A vehicle reportedly reduced its speed behind a farm tractor and was hit from behind by another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle and the tractor driver both suffered injuries while the driver who caused the collision was unharmed. Authorities said the tractor driver was airlifted due to serious injuries. A citation was issued by authorities to the driver who caused the crash due to his inattentiveness while behind the wheel.
