Eight people in Oregon suffered injuries on October 19 after a huge blast caused by natural gas took place in a residential area, a report of NBC News said.

According to reports, the five people who sustained blast injuries were either responding police or firemen. A representative of NW Natural Gas revealed the explosion happened after a gas line at a building was damaged by people working in the area. Occupants of the affected business premises were displaced by fire crews. Though some individuals from the area were also injured, details of their injuries were not available as of reporting. A short video clip posted on Instagram showed the extent of the blast from afar. A veteran fire crew member told reports that this is the first time he saw a great damage caused by a gas explosion.
