On October 22, early Saturday morning, a semi truck was found having collided with three other vehicles, resulting in injuries for six individuals.
The Madison Fire Department was called to the scene of the crash, which occurred around 4:30 a.m. One person was found trapped under their car, the one that sustained the most serious damage, but they were safely extracted and sent to the hospital. The drivers of the other cars and passengers across the four vehicles were each also sent to hospitals. The extent of the injuries on all affected parties are unknown but one person was facing more severe injuries than the rest.
One MedFlight crew had been called to the scene but was deemed unnecessary and sent away before they arrived. The southbound lanes of I-39/I-90 were closed for four hours while the crash was investigated.
