Four families have been left without homes due to a fire in their apartment complex in Mukwonago Saturday morning, November 5. The American Red Cross was sought to give assistance to the displaced families.
The fire was reported to the department at around 5 in the morning and the fire chief speculated that the fire had begun on a balcony on the second floor. Two units in total were burned.
All the residents were able to get out of the building safely, some due to the assistance of their neighbors. Some residents claimed that there were no alarms, while the Fire Chief did say that the detectors had done their job properly. There is no information regarding how the fire started, at this time.
