Wisconsin state authorities recently confirmed the vehicle collision that killed four people in Deerfield was caused by a drunk driver who was driving the wrong way, a November 3 article of Channel 3000 reported.
Aside from the fatalities, two people were listed in critical condition, including the wrong-way driver, identified as 32-year-old Brysen Wills. Reports said Wills was seen driving erratically on November 2 moments before he struck two vehicles head-on on Interstate 94. Though alcohol is also blamed in the crash, Sergeant William Miller of the Wisconsin State Patrol said the incident was complicated due to the situation’s severity. According to the accounting company where the victims were working, the employees, whom they consider “dynamic professionals,” came from a recruitment and outreach campaign.
A day after the incident, authorities identified the names of the people involved in the crash, but they are still working on reconstructing exactly what happened to cause the accident.
