On November 10, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, a Madison-based ice cream company, issued an expanded recall of its products that contain cookie dough supplied by Aspen Hills, who voluntarily recalled their products due to safety violations. The expanded recall is meant to include any items that may have been made before Aspen’s initially recalled batches of products.
The recall and its expansion were issued completely out of caution as cookie dough tests have been negative for listeria. No illnesses have been reported from the consumption of company’s products.
Additional recalls all have a code date within the year of 2017:
Cookie Dough code dates: 10/15, 10/21, 11/1 & 11/8
Heaps of Love code dates: 10/20, 10/28, 11/1 & 11/8
Peanut Butter Cookie Dough code dates: 10/9, 10/18 & 11/1
Sticks & Stones code dates: 10/26
The Baked Bear Cookie Dough code dates: 10/13, 10/15, 10/21, 11/1
