Woman apprehended over drunk driving suspicion in Milwaukee

Milwaukee authorities recently apprehended a driver due to several violations, including drunk driving and endangering a minor passenger inside her vehicle, a November 9 article of CBS 58 reported.

Reports coming from the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office revealed at 3:15 a.m. on November 5, Lashawnda Johnson, 23, was involved in a single vehicle crash at N. 16th Street and I-94. Responding authorities noted that Johnson had a 2-year-old passenger inside her vehicle without any restraining device. The child, whose identity was withheld, was transported to a hospital after sustaining a broken leg. Upon apprehension, authorities learned Johnson’s BAC was 0.15 percent. Multiple charges, including one count of misdemeanor DUI, driving with a suspended license, and one count of DUI with a minor passenger, were filed against Johnson. A maximum imprisonment of 29.5 years await Johnson if she is found guilty of all the charges.
