Authorities are still investigating a vehicle collision that took the lives of two people on County Trunk Highway E in Onieda, last Thursday.
Initial reports say that a Mercury Marquis was heading north on the highway when a dump truck crashed into its passenger side. The impact of the collision sent both vehicles into a field near the intersection. The dump truck overturned onto its side.
The driver or the car and his female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 91-year-old male and 56-year-old female, respectively.
The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to a Green Bay hospital for treatment. Based on initial investigation, the driver of the truck ran through a stop sign, which caused him to hit the car that was crossing the intersection.
