At least two people were taken to a hospital following a car accident on I-94 near West College Avenue early in the morning December 04.
Authorities responded to the scene after receiving a report of a collision at approximately 3:00 a.m. According to the report, an unidentified vehicle was traveling on the southbound lane of the highway when, for unknown reasons, it drifted into another lane and crashed into a passing car. The impact sent the second vehicle into a wall, causing it to flip onto its side.
The driver of the suspect vehicle sustained head and body injuries from the crash. He was later identified as a 35-year-old Kyle Rannow. Rannow’s passengers, a two-month-old, four-year-old, and a eight-year-old child, were luckily not injured.
Three occupants of the victim vehicle were slightly injured. They were taken to a hospital, treated, and released.
Rannow admitted that he was under the influence of marijuana during the time of the incident. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI-3rd offense.
