Defective Food Product

R&R Provision Company Inc. is conducting a voluntary recall of more than 20, 000 pounds of breaded veal products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

In a statement released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the products subject to recall have establishment number 1081 printed on the inspection marking. The recalled items contain known allergens, such as whey and nonfat milk, that are not included on the product label.

Preliminary investigation shows that the company received a notification from their supplier about the inclusion of new ingredients but they failed to update their label. Consumers who purchased the affected items should discontinue usage of the products and return to the place of purchase.

To date, there have been no confirmed injuries or illness related to the consumption of product.

If you have had an allergic reaction because of an improperly labelled food product, you may be able to seek compensation from its manufacturer. Call the Milwaukee product liability attorneys of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® to learn more about your legal options.
