Remington recalls chainsaw products

MTD Southwest’s Remington announced that it is recalling its gasoline chainsaw products due to fire hazard.

An announcement released by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), states that the recall was initiated after it was discovered that the chainsaw may leak gasoline, posing a fire risk. The items subject to recall were distributed at Bi-Mart, Farmer’s Furniture, Lowe’s, and Mid-States Distributing Co. and were manufactured from February 2016 through July 2016.

To date, there were no injuries related to the issue have been reported. MTD Southwest’s Remington is urging its consumers to discontinue the usage of equipment or return the items to the place of purchase.
