Man Faces Up to One Year in Jail for Fourth OWI Charge

Mount Pleasant police apprehended 36-year-old Jason Cozort of Kenosha early October for his fourth OWI charge in five years.

Cozort was reportedly driving erratically early on a Friday night, when a concerned citizen notified police of a reckless driver. The police were able to locate the vehicle and identified the driver as Cozort. During the traffic stop, Cozort was said to have struck the curb several times before he was able to come to a complete stop.

At the time of arrest, Cozort admitted to not possessing a valid drivers licenses and failed field sobriety tests. He later admitted to the officers that he used heroin throughout the day and agreed to a blood test.
