Highway 14 crash victims identified

At least two were killed after a tragic head-on collision on Highway 14 near North River Road., authorities say.

The victims were identified as 57-year-old Bradley Britt of Davis, Illinois and 75-year-old Carolyn Rhodes of Janesville by Rock County coroner’s officials.

According to the report, the accident took place on the 19th at approximately 3:30 p.m. Monday. Rhodes was driving her truck along the westbound lane of the highway, when, for yet unknown reasons, she lost control of the vehicle and collided head on with another truck driven by Britt. It is believed that Rhodes may have lost control because of icy road conditions.

The impact of the collision killed Britt at the scene. Rhodes was transferred to a hospital for treatment of her injuries, but died soon after.
